The Basic Skills program will help you learn all the fundamentals of figure skating, recreational skating or hockey- it's simply the best way to take to the ice. The Basic Skills program is designed by U.S. Figure Skating to be the best beginning ice skating program that is fun, challenging and rewarding.

Dane County Learn to Skate has a program specifically designed for beginning skaters to gain the experience they need to join a hockey team.

 

The hockey curriculum is designed to teach the fundamentals of hockey skating. In four levels, skaters will learn how to maneuver faster and be more agile on the ice. Proper skating techniques are the primary focus of the levels. All elements are taught without a stick or puck. Skaters will learn the necessary fundamentals to be successful in game situations. Helmet required.

 

*Skaters should complete Snowplow Sam 1-3 before signing up for the Learn to play Hockey classes
